I have a question about my first try at wine making it is a Welches cranberry that I mixed up it has been six months now in a one gallon carboy and I want to bottle it so now is the time that I need to sorbate it right. I have read allot about degassing a wine do I also need to do this before bottle it.

Take a taste, if you feel a tingle on your tongue at all then it needs to be degassed. If you are not sweetening this wine then sorbate is not needed. I would sulfite it though if you havent done thios or if it hasnt been done in 3-4 months.
