just got my equipment and very excited to make my first batch. Looking to make a cabernet any advice or suggestions on what kit to use will be greatly appreciated

I would get a mid to upper kit meaning 15 liters of juice or better
such as an alljuice(23 liter kit). Th more the better but you can get a
good wine with a lesser kit like the 15 liter ones. The white wines
dont vary as much as the reds do with smaller and bigger kits.

Waldo, that was the first kit I made. Bottled it last November. Opened a bottle last weekend and I liked it a lot. I also Like the 15 or so gal Merlot kit. The cab would be a great first choice.

For a cab, go for the higher priced kits. Most cab lovers like the tannins and the inexpensive kits are just too light for most cab fans.

thank you so much for your suggestions. i believe i am going with the all juice for my first and not touching it for at least a year. I am pretty good like that "good things come to those who wait" wish me luck and thanks

Awesome and we'll let you sneak in a small sample from time to time just to see how its improving but thats it, we're watching!
