If you can see in the picture, the wooden end posts are a little shorter than the metal posts because the metal posts were added at a later date to this vineyard.
I found these post extenders that seem perfect for screwing onto the endposts but they are a bit spendy, and I have not seen any alternative sources for them.
I am trying to decide if another foot of height for the canes on the ends will be worth the trouble of extending the posts. I'm on the fence.
The 3 catch wires on each trellis are a bit loose, made with loops terminated by gripples.
