I am ready to start a Wine Expert kit that has the skins with it and the bag for the first time. I have made wine from grapes that I raise at home and just have juice and skins in the fermenter. Do I really need the bag? I have been searching for an answer on the forum but didn't find it.
Finer Wine Kit Do I need to use the bag for the skins that comes with the kit?

You don’t HAVE to use it but it will make separating the skins from the must much much easier later on. I always use some type of mesh bag, not necessarily the cheesecloth bags usually included in a kit.
What @Jim Welch said! Using the bag removes a lot of hassle.
