When making white wine from grapes, the fermentation is typically done at very cool temperatures, to extract the best flavor and aromas.

Does fermenting white kit wines have the same benefit?
 
I believe the idea for white wines of low fermentation temps is that the fruity compounds are volatile, and you want to keep them in. So, lower temps.

As such, yes, you want to keep the temp down for white kits too.
