i have noticed that i have a lot of sediment (i assume its sediment) in my wine bottles when i chill my wine. it may be partially tartic acid crystals too.

anyway, i was wondering if it would hurt the wine if i chilled it before racking to allow that sediment to fall from the cold.

if the wine is then warmed back to a normal storage temperature and then later drank, is it gonna be skunky like a bad beer?

Sounds like tartaric acid crystals but cold stabalizing will help to make sediment fall out also. Rack off these and bottle is what I do and have not experienced skunky wine.
