Clearing wine by cold stabalizing

I made two kits roughly around the same age, however instead I used 1/4 of the clearing agents they provide, I also have a few kits just coming over 6 months that I haven’t used any clearing agents at all. My issue is the past two kits where I used little clearing agents...basically a 1/4 of what they provide and the past two kits threw sediment in the bottle. Both kits were aging for about 3 months. So that’s fine leave them longer next time, how much longer though? How long do I have to wait if I’m not using any clearing agents? If I do cold stabilization, is it safe for the wine? At what temps and for how long should the wine remain before bottling?

the cold stabilization is primarily an extra insurance to ensure there is no sediment in the bottle.
