Ive search the net long and hard looking for a blue berrywine recipe that was solely from concentrate. I havent been able to findone. I dont have any ability to get frozen blueberries (except from the grocery store, which Im not necessarily opposed to). But I dont know much about the quality of the fruit bases. Anyone made a blueberry with the concentrates or without using frozen fruit?

You could use the frozen grape concentrate recipe as a guide:

You should need about the same ingredients, but you will need to test your acid and adjust. Blueberries are not as high in acid as grapes, especially the native American grapes like the Concord.

Regarding the canned fruits, I get rave reviews on the purees:

and the big cans of fruit and water do very well, also.

Both come with recipes specifically for each fruit.

This is the recipe I used, which turned out pretty okay. It's still aging in the bottle because it came out hot-hot-hot. I've heard it is supposed to tame down within 6-12 months, so it's hidden far away from my plane of sight. :)

I bet you could tweak it and use the puree instead. :) Edited by: MedPretzel

I used the recipe that was on the can...but I also added 3 pounds of frozen blueberrys since it said that 5 gallons would be thin

Jerry how many tins did you use?

I have only 6 gallon carboys and a 7.6 gallonprimary. I think I will use Martina's recipe and some of the stuff Ive found as a guide and start building a recipe.

Thanks for all the help guys!
