Bentonite in Rose

I want my rose wine to clear up it is almost done fermenting and someone told me that adding bentonite to the wine will basically turn it to a white wine, any advice or someone that can tell me what I can do.

I have never heard of that. I have not noticed bentonite pulling flavor or color, but haven't paid as much attention to the color part. I know you can add too much and get a little earthy flavor, but it takes a lot. Try doing a minimal amount, say 2g/gal and see how it does.
 
Most rose kits include bentonite. They still turn out coloured.

EDIT: Actually thinking a bit more, all of the rose kits I have made included bentonite. That would be at least three different Vineco kits, two differnet Spagnols kits, and probably others. Heck most red wine kits include bentonite.

Bentonite is, essentially, an absorbent impure clay. It shouldn't remove color.

I have made 30 -40 kits and if I recall every one had bentonite in them ,both red and white.

In the vast majority of kits, the bentonite is added pre-fermentation, so it can strip excess proteins and support yeast activity. It can be a different story post-fermentation. Right out of the above referenced document, "Research has shown that it can strip some aroma and flavor."

Actually, any fining, used post fermentation, can take some of the good stuff with it, but if used correctly, it is normally acceptable. But turn a rose' white? I don't think so. Still, taking some of the good stuff or adding off flavor are why some wine makers don't use any finings at all. I seldom use them, myself.
