We got an old frig that we plan on using to age bottled white. My husband plans on modifying it. Whatis the preferred temperature to age white wine? Would 43* f be too cold? What is the preferred temp to age red wine?

I keep mine at 59 both whites and reds. from what I've been reading its more important to not let it fluctuate day to night (hot to cold) than the exact temp. I'm sure some one will chime in and give the correct temps.

43* might be too cold. 55* would be much better, you will probably have to buy 1 of those thermostats that go outside and are adjustable to higher temps.
