In August 1997, I picked, crushed, pressedand fermented 200 lbs of Sauvignon Blanc grapes from a vineyard located between Gainesville and Sherman, Texas. I just opened one of the few remaining bottles. I am amazed that after 10 years, it still tastes great and not over the hill. I have come to conclude that the adage to drink a white wine within 2-3 years is simply overstated. If stored in the right conditions (a cool cellar) and made with quality grapes, a white wine can last for some time. Based on my experience, I can say at least 10 years and ticking.Edited by: dfwwino
