    Ferment temperature questions

A large chest freezer will work fine, use a ranco or Johnson controls external temp control, make sure you set the temp differential at 3 degrees to prevent short cycling of the compressor and submerge the temp probe in a bottle of IP. I also live in Florida and this method has served me well...

    Cold box wine storage project

NorCal, thank you for the reply, I only want to use the cold box for fermentation to replace an aging chest freezer, so 65 degrees would be great. Not having to shell out cash for the coolbot is good, more cash for wine! Sent from my iPhone using Wine Making

Clear 12 oz. Corona Bottles...label remover

That similar to the way I do it. I use straight vinegar in an old mayonnaise jar and just put the bottle in and put a weight on top, usually takes about 15 minutes and the label rinses right off. Sent from my iPhone using Wine Making

    Cold box wine storage project

I've been following this thread for awhile and am really interested in building a similar cold box in my garage here in central Florida. Is there any reason that I can't use a ranco temp controller verses the coolbot for the ac control. My garage is usually in the 90's during the summer...

    when good wines gone bad

Can anyone tell me the correct amount of instant coffee that Joeswine added to his coffee port kit, and weather it was added to primary or secondary? Have some time today to get it started and have seen many differing amounts to add. Thank you!

    Thinking outside the box

Hi joe, I started a WE Pinot Noir yesterday that you added the blackberries to, I liked your tutorial on this. I got side tracked with a family issue and when I came back to it I realized that I had forgotten to add the simple syrup. Is it too late to add? Thanks. Tom Sent from my iPhone...

That is looking like a really neat and well thought out cold box, where are you going to mount the a/c? I've been wanting to build something like this to eliminate all the refrigerators I have. Sent from my iPad using Wine Making

Alright then, if I can make it to Orlando this weekend I'm going to pick up this kit and will add the raisins as suggested, I'm guessing they will add some mouthfeel??? I'm still newish to the wine making scene, but have been a beer brewer for about 10 years. Thank you all for taking the time...
