    Skeeter pee bubbling

My 2 cents would say that it probably should have been degassed a bit more. As sediment falls it will "knock loose" co2 as it goes down. Those tiny bubbles will in turn collect more co2 on the way up. If it hasn't been too long (a day or so) since you added the fining agent I would do some...

Dragon Blood: Triple Berry Skeeter Pee

Bottled my 5 gallons tonight. I used all my clear bottles for my Skeeter Juice so I had mostly Chardonnay and Merlot bottles. Also I just ran out so the last gallon just went into a jug. I'm figuring that will be the first to go when the Lady gets into it ha!

    wine racks

I do that too. 4 clean empties for a full one. Most have given me 1.5L bottles though. I think they expect those back. They'll be getting 750's tho. I keep the 1.5s for ME hahah

    Questions regarding Slurry

As long as you rack into a carboy THEN stabilize your left over slurry should still be good. I personally put all the gross lees Into a jug (1 gal) and toss in the fridge. After a day in there I take the top clear layer and put it away to top off after I clear and the rest I'm using for another SP.

My 5 gallon DB is clearing oh so nicely. Transferred from primary yesterday. Just the standard recipe until I can get more 5 or 6 gallon carboys. (Also a 1 gallon apple and 3 gallon apricot)

I'm 2 glasses into my first bottle (have given 2 of 9 away). I was nervous and have put it off but holy moly this stuff is GOOD!! I don't see a long shelf life for the last 6 bottles! I just wanna thank everyone who gave me advice and helped me along the way! This place is great and I couldn't...

    Chemical smell

I just finished my first SP and it had a real bad acetone smell. But I kept the primary cool, stopped frantically stirring, and added some energizer and a few days it went away. It's in bottles right now and this weekend I'm gonna try one out myself. The ones I've given away I've gotten great...

    inherited a grape vine

I also inherited some grapes at my new place. 2 vines. One green grape and one red seeded grape. No idea what varieties but based on how edible they were off the vine I'd guess good ol' table grapes. I got about 4 bunches between the 2 vines and the grapes themselves were very small. I plan to...
