Hey winemaking friends! Just thought I'd share a quick update! I've been so busy with non-winemaking things apart from a Chardonnay and batch of DB on the go :-) hope you all are well and still having some winemaking fun!

Just a quick update on my dragonette! Cracked open a bottle that was bottled 2-3 weeks ago and it's quite nice. I think I posted before that I added a bit more acid blend to make up for no lemon and it's nicely balanced with a hint of tartness!

Can you expand on the use of corn syrup for sweetening? Not too know knowledgable on it. What difference does it impart from sugar or simple sugar? Appreciate the feedback :)

Nice! :) my bad news is that the rodents destroyed all my plants both edible and ornamental... They wreaked the same havoc all over my 50 acres!! Freakin dog gone it! I'm outnumbered badly there must be thousands of holes and tunnels just in the areas we have walked! Maybe I better get my weasel...
Ya the flooding has been bad even here, my hens were trying to learn to swim in their coop but they gave up and just squawked loudly on their perches. We finally have it all shoveled out and drained today!
Just bottled 3 gals of dragonette and another 6 gals DB have been in the fermenter for 4 days now... It does mysteriously disappear! I can taste the cherries in this batch it's going to be good as usual!
