Ok guys, I cant seem to find an answer to this question anywhere on the internet. Maybe my searching skills suck or not trying hard enough. Anyways was wondering if High Fructose corn syrup is fermentable by any yeast? Im thinking yes to myself but would prefer to hear an answer from you experienced guys here.

Yes, fructose will ferment. Yeast will metabolize glucose faster, but it also eats fructose. After all, what we call "sugar" is sucrose made up of 1 part glucose and 1 part fructose.

Thanks greg. I sorta knew it would but couldn't find much on the internet to confirm it. Nothing but bad scary articles about the stuff and how it effects us Americans. Plus I was just looking around at some items to "cheaply" create alcohol at the dollar store. Questioned one item but its second ingredients were mostly High Fructose corn syrup.
