With or Without Spigot

Do most of you folks that use oak barrels prefer with or without barrels?
Personally, I feel that although the spigots can be convenient, they can be another point of failure.
What are your opinions, and why?

No spigots! Possible leakage or failure. Area that you can not see to clean but an attractive area for bacteria to grow. JMO

I have a spigot on mine, it came that way from the cooper.
There doesn't seem to be any problems because of it but I find I don't ever use it either.
