Went to 2 wineries today and 1 of them was a Grand opening 5 minutes from my house. He just opened yesterday and only offered 1 wine this year from St. Croix grapes but it was the best red wine that I have tried grown in this state. He has a few more varietals growing and said next year they should produce enough to offer some. He has Chenin Blanc, Riesling, Cayuga, and cab franc growing. The other winery had a great variety of different wine ranging from Vidal to Pumpkin spiced to ruy Port and must say that all the wines were good except for the table red which was typically thin for Ct.

That's great having a winery that close to home Wade. He probably had the St Crox because it is a precocious (young bearing) variety. Some of the ones I planted last year have a dozen clusters on them and they are all good size.
