Who gets in the barrel Cab/Shiraz or Brunello

Next Jan - Mar I need to rotate either a MM Ren. Cab/Shiraz or RJS Cru Select Brunello through the Vadial barrel. The barrel is scheduled with other wines until then. And after March I figure I will have something else wanting a turn in, possibly a as of yet unknown limited release or limited quantity something. I was not planning the Brunello to go in barrel until someone on another post mentioned to me that his RJS Cru Select Brunello was just a bit disappointing even after two years. Said fruit and oak and tannin was fine but it is thin and wish he could have barrel aged several months. And yes, it could work out that they can both have a ride. And I can hear Mike now . . . buy another barrel. So now the dilemma: Brunello or Cab/Shiraz.
