Hey everyone!

I degassed and topped off my Vintner's Reserve Italian Pinot Grigio today. The wine has a slight sulfur smell... Doesn't smell good, but tastes pretty good. What do I do about the smell? I read adding campden tablets will help?

Thoughts???

If this is a kit which by reading your post it is it came with a powder called Potassium bisulfite or k-meta for short and that is Campden tablets in powder form. You are most likely smelling that. Its very very very rare to have a H2S problem with a kit. You probably just added thois powder and it needs to settle in.

Ok thanks! Well that makes me feel better. How long would the smell last?

I racked my wine yesterday and I'm excited to say that it smells like wine should! I had a taste and it's not bad. I'll probably bottle in 30 days or so.

Let it sit in the carboy longer then directions state as it will still drop very fine sediment over time!

Will do! I'm at the point that the instructions say I can bottle. But I'm
Holding off for at least another 30 days.
