Question is that since it is really clear can I just go ahead, transfer it and back sweeten it? Then of course let it sit for 2 weeks to make sure no new fermentation has started. I figure this would be ok, but I wanted to pick folks brains about this.

If you are going to back sweeten, you need to add at Potassium metabisulfite and sorbate ...learned that from miss julie.
not sure what clear means to all...to me this is what i do.
i put an addressed envelope on the opposite of the carboy i am looking at..
if i can read the address, I bottle.

Shine a flashlight or a lazer thru your wine. When you no longer see the beam, the wine is clear. But you are doing skeeter pee, so if it looks clear, probably about time to drink it. Arne.

yeah I already did the stablization part. Also good point on being able to read a letter through the pee. I did this and it is all good. Gonna back sweeten this now.
