all,

My son in law just told me about a wine his former neighbor made when they lived next door. he said the wine was really really good in the summer heat. His neighbors were from The Caribbean. he thought the wine was a banana and pineapple base but was not sure. Does anyone know of a homemade wine out to the caribbean along these lines. A recipe would be great as well.

Thanks a million. I am a beginner and I am loving the results. I have made a strawberry, a satsuma, a cab and a super Tuscan.

There is a banana-pineapple-viognier kit, but it is not homemade.

You could probably take any pineapple wine recipe and add banana.

I've made a number of tropical wines - guava, starfruit, banana, lychee, loquat, passionfruit - some better than others. Lemongrass and hibiscus flowers also make nice wine.

We currently have 3 batches of Mango wine in fermentors. One batch is Banana, Strawberry, Mango. Looks very promising. Make to Jack Kellers recipe but we doubled the fruit, then added the bananas. Roy
