I know that the primary fermenter needs to be stirred but what about
the secondary ? I'm thinking I should let it sit The primary was very active and
finished at < 1.000
I'm thinking of racking one more time to clarify and stabilize.
Does it sound like I know what I'm doing ?? !

No need to stir while the fermentation finishes up. Here is my normal racking schedule: after fermentation completes (3 days same sg reading), rack to get off gross lees add k Meta, after 3 weeks rack again, then every 3 months rack and add kmeta (1/4 tsp for 6 gallons, more may be required if pH is nearer 4.0), after at least 6 months rack decide if backsweeten and how much rack adding kmeta and ksorbate. Wait a few days or a week, bottle. There might be a filter step in there at that last rack as well. If red wine not from a kit, there is an mlf step which takes as long as it takes, some add during primary.
