A couple of questions:
1) I'm trying to avoid shelling out more money for fermenters. If I buy a couple of fermenting buckets from the brew store, do I really need the 10 dollar cover? Or can I ferment the wine with a blanket or towel over the top of the bucket?
2) I have a very small batch of wine from a neighbors vine. Only about 1 gallon. Can anybody recommend a homemade solution to pressing this batch? I'd rather not rent a press for only 1 gallon, but will if I have to. Thanks
