I would swear I read a post about an easy way to remove the raisins from the kits that have them. I've looked and searched and can't find it. I'm hoping I didn't dream this up. Tell me your removal method and help out a newbie or refer me to the post.

Just use a kitchen strainer. Most of them float to the top and 5-10 passes with the strainer will get 99% of them.

I concur with George and will be doing this in a few days since I have two kits with raisins and one RJS with the Mi-Pack Winery Grape Skin Pack that will be ready to transfer to glass.

George after you responded, I read the post I was thinking of and it said they were mostly floaters and you just strain them out. I guess as a newbie I expected there to be some hard process.

The obvious easy way just couldn't be right.

I guess I forget that wine has been around a lot longer than most technology.

I strained out and squeezed out every last drop of juice. I had 100% floaters.

Wine making is nothing more than a Ph.D. in common sense (and Chemistry and biology and viniculture and... and... and...)
