I was reading a blog about wine judges getting drunk. A comment was made about "high alcohol California zins"
What is it???
Im asking about non fortified wines.

Scotty a lot of areas in California have such great weather that they let them hang on the vine just about forever and get an unbelievably high brix which leads to a high alcohol wine. Brixs in the low30s are fairly common. This leads to an alcohol of 17 or 18%. That's enough to get a few judges tipsy.

Thanks
