HI folks.

New to wine making and new to the forum. I've been watching some good and very poor videos on home made wine. I'm not looking to win any awards, but prefer not to waste any of my time or materials either. Just here to learn. I'll be posting to try to clear up some initial confusion right away. Thanks to all that offer input.

I'm pleased you have discovered not all winemaking advice is good. It's much easier to help you get started along a good path, than it is to fix a wine having problems. Review the first few pages of the Beginners forum, reading any threads that catch your interest. You'll find a lot of good discussion that will answer questions, or cause you to ask new questions.
