Need help.

I bottled a batch of Zinfandel that was bulk aging for 13 months. The grapes were from Napa, CA. They have been in the bottle for a little over one week. I had a bottle last night, it was very good, but I felt the effects after the 3rd glass, which I rarely ever feel. I also woke up with a headache, which rarely ever happens. I did sterilize the bottles with a SMBS solution, but I did a final rinse. Any ideas? .

Zin can have a pretty high ABV. What is your ABV?
If you didn't get some off, chemical taste, you are likely experiencing high alcohol. And three glasses is well over half a bottle of wine!!!!

Thanks Robie, I don't know the ABV. i was part of a group. i'll have to check with the Master Vinter, and try another bottle

sounds to me like your problem was not finishing the bottle
a little secret, keep one gall back in the fridge and have it for breakfast the next morning. It seems to help
