My first tartrate crystals and what a surprise

Sorry for the horrible pic but my macro photography gear is packed away somewhere.
This is in my vine wine - made from grape leaves and tendrils!!! I checked my notes and only used a half teaspoon acid blend to get it around a 3.5 pH. I guess tartaric acid is everywhere in the plant and not just the grapes.

Well this is interesting. Just found. This page from the Australian Wine Research Institute lists 8 crystal deposits!
