I started the WE Selection Limited Edition Aussie Riesling on Sun.
Monday I had a nice foam, yeast smell in the primary.
In the afternoon the foam was gone and I didn't hear any fizzing.
The temp is 72 degrees.
Is this normal for this Riesling??
 
It doesn't sound normal, but take an SG. that should tell you what it is doing....taking one today and one tomorrow will tell us if things are moving along......It would not hurt to give it a good stir at this point...
 
Bert, I went in to check the Riesling again. No foam but it is actively "fizzing". So, do you think I should still stir or leave it alone?
 
It sounds like you have a good fermentation going...a little extra O2 can help, but may not be needed.....Glad to hear things are going..

Riesling got racked to Secondary on Sunday. This is what it looks like just racked.


ummmmm......can't wait for this summer wine!!!
