K-Meta ??

I know this is going to sound like a real "newb" question but when i read people on here using k-meta is that the same thing as (Potassium Metabisulfite)???....

You are correct sir! Kmeta is potassium meta, Nameta is Sodium meta. Most folks only use the Nameta to make sanitizing solution, and Kmeta in wine to kill nasties and keep wild yeast in check.

In the world of chemistry, the symbol for potassium is K hence kmeta or k-meta. Sodium's symbol is Na, therefore nameta.
