Hey everyone,

This is probably a dumb question, but when you mix up your k-meta for sanitizing, do you use purified/filtered water, or just tap water?

Thanks!
Wade

I've been using tap water. Probably need to use filtered but ya can't run hot water through a filter. At 3 tbsp a gallon I doubt I have anything to worry about.

I use well water from the tap. I would use bottled distilled water if I had chlorinated water or boil the water first and let cool. I use bottled distilled water for rinsing parts after cleaning to avoid mineral deposits.

One of the uses of potassium metabisulfite is to neutralize chlorine in the water. I use distilled for some things, bottled spring water for some things, but tap water for mixing k-meta.
