Well we were in a bind today as our friend was on vacation and could not loan us his crusher / destemmer . So we had to improvise – I had a simple hand crusher that we installed a plastic crate over our fermentation bucket to catch all the steams. It worked great ! Yes it took a bit longer to do, but the job got done. We did over 400 pounds of grapes !!
I just wanted to post this in case anyone else runs into the same situation we just did.
