I made that kit last fall using D47 yeast and liked the results. I haven't made the kit with EC-1118, but I imagine it would work just fine. One thing I noticed is that it was an very early drinking wine, and as it has aged has dried out and the fruit has really died back. I have a bottle in the fridge for my wife and I to try this weekend, so I'll have a better idea of what it is like now that it is over a year old. I'm not saying that the wine got worse, I just personally liked the up front fruitiness when it was younger. I really should ask my Mom what she is thinking as I gave her a case for her birthday at the end of June. Her early Summer reports were very positive and I highly doubt she has a bottle still in her possession.
