Good day.
I am getting ready to start a dry hopped cider.
What i would like to know is should i boil the bag before adding the hopps and adding it to my secondary?
Also for one gallon how much hopps should i do?
I am using mosaic hop pellets.
Thank you
Jay

Agree. Just sanitise and allow your nylon hop bag or stainless hop thing to air dry for a couple of minutes. No need to do anything to the hops. keep them refrigerated after you buy them. Re quantity - don't over hop. You only need a low loading for a cider ie around 10 gms. If you like It heavily loaded ( FYI TIP TO THE WISE - women don’t like hops in their cider) then go for a max of 20 gms. What hop are you using. There are a number of hop types that have a fruit salad style - such as Citra and Saaz.
