I was racking and degassing my wild grape and my apple wine yesterday.
I noticed that the grape wine degassed rather quickly, but the apple just kept on foaming like a head on a glass of beer.
I was using my cut off plastic spoon with power drill, and after at least a half hour of agitating and letting the foam subside...It just kept coming. could the wine hold that much gas or does it have something to do with the apple?

apple wine started in August, 1st rack in sept. wine is super clear already, I plan on letting it sit another three months.

any input? am I doing something wrong? I have never had a problem degassing in the past.

thanks
