I am expecting to receive my Brew Belt today from George

I have racked from my primary fermenter to carboy - 6gallon WE kit.
Do I put the brew belt on the secondary until it has stopped fermenting or is it only for the primary?

Secondly, I have a 1 gallond jug of strawberry wine that has been sitting for 3 weeks. Still quite a bit of lees. I have added sorbate and 1 cambden. If I rack again - do I redo the sorbate and cambden or is once enough. Seems I read somwhere(?) that sorbate and cambden sould be added every other racking?

Thanks for the help.

You need to keep the wine in the secondary at the proper temperature (70-75 degrees) until you degas and stabilized so I would say yes add it to the carboysince I assume your wine making area is cool.

What is the current temp of the wine or area it is in?

No need to add more sorbate and K-meta via campden tab again.Edited by: masta
