Well starting to feel like I'm talking to myself...... but anyway this one is ready to go to bottles. So tomorrow I'm off work and will clean and sanatise 30 splits and begin the process.

I may need to buy corks first as I think about it now.

Either way this is going to bottle this weekend. Hope to sample it on Easter!!!

..look forwrd to reading your tasting notes on this one too

Thanks running wolf and waldo for replying. I'll snap some photos this weekend.

I took one of the Splits with me to easter dinner. The taste was good for a youngster. A bit sweeter than I like, but its not over powering. Nice Blackberry note with a kick!

Ahhh...... Can only imagine what about a year of aging will do fo it.

Just bottled mine and wow does this smell great! I'm pretty happy just holding the glass and enjoying the aroma. But it tastes pretty good as well so I'll try and slowly enjoy this glass because I think next year it's really going to shine. Still need to label the bottles, which I plan on doing some time this weekend so I post a pic then.

As promised plus a couple of bonus bottles.

The blackberry port & apple tatin were started last year right after I got the kit. The sparkling maple mead was made for 2009 mead day.
