Bentonite

I have noticed that all of the Wine Expert kits I have tried so far come with Bentonite in them. Would I gain anything in the clearing if I were to start adding it to my scratch wine?? If so when and howwould I add it. Thanks for the info. Lynn

I've started adding bentonite to all my wines cause you are right it is
in all the kits I have made so far, I add it at the start just like I
do in the kits.

Stinkie, how do you make your bentonite additions. I was going to try it on a batch of Concord, but it said to stir into 2 1/2 cups of hot water and let sit 24 hour before adding to the wine. I would have to add it right before I pitch the yeast tommorrow.
