Just curious. There are several bannana wine makers out there that use the skins. Now I know for certain they are sprayed with a dangerous chemical for transport stability and pesticide reasons. Its called Thiabendizole (sp?) and is so dangerous several of the companies will no longer allow their boxes to be re-used.

Anyone else aware of this?

All fruits of course should be washed, Thiabendazole in low levels, should not be harmful, in fact , it does have medicinal purposes in the case of metal poisoning.

In mho, don't fear it, use sound sanitation as all foods, especially fresh fruits and veggies require.
