I read something simialr to the following in a local Wine Magazine. It was quoted as a Medieval German Saying. I was not able to get a exact copy, and didn't think it appropiate to tear out of someones else's mag; so it is paraphrased/quoted from memory:
Drinking Wine Makes you Sleepy.
When Asleep you can not sin.
If you do not Sin you are Saved.
ergo Drinking Wine Gives Salvation.
