I bought a new LG window unit for my wine storage area and planned to use an inkbird to control it. I got it to running and left. When I returned the next day, it was hot in the room. The manual for the ac indicates that the AC may have an auto restart function but apparently it does not work that way.

Anyone know 1- why it does not work that way and 2- what can I do to fix it so that it will come back on.

I'm assuming the controller shuts off power to the entire unit. That will probably reset the control to factory defaults. At this point unplug the unit for a few minutes to make sure power is drained from all components and plug it directly into the wall and try it. If it doesn't work you may need to return it.
