I finally got a few vines in the ground over the weekend. That was a lot more work than I had envisioned. Now its a wait and see process. I keep telling myself "4 more years".

Good luck with the vines! Believe me you can't just wait for them to fruit. Adopt themand tend them like babies and raise them to adulthood.
 
It really can become a full time hobby. If you can ferment grape juice and wait 18 months to drink it, you have the patience to watch grapes grow.
