WineXpert 2002 LE Washington Riesling/Gewurztraminer

Our Christmas Eve feast is done. Family, food, presents.
Earlier today we wondered which wine would go with the grilled turkey breast? We chose the last bottle of the 2002 WE Limited EditionWashington Riesling/Gewurztraminer. We fermented this kit inMarch 2003 so it is a 5 1/2year old white wine.


Delicious! Deep golden golden color. Citrisy, melon nose. Very smooth and slightly sweet -- almost a nectar like quality to the wine. It's now gone a just a fond memory.

Apparently, you are now fondly remembered.


Having been a strong believer in aging wine for many years, I know how pouring that last drop from an aged wine feels.

Wow 5 1/2 years. I'm having trouble with 1 year! I did my first racking of my first Gewurztraminer (mosti) today. I've never had a Gewurztraminer before. I think this will be a good one!
