Hello, I would like to know if anyone can tell me how to convert 1 gallon wine recipes into 5 gallons. Or, if someone can tell me of a good 5 gallon wine recipe book.

I've just started making wine on and off for the past couple of years and I have quickly found 1 gallon batches do not last very long. So I am now wanting to bulk it up a bit, but all my books contain 1 gallon recipes.

Thanks Paul

* "everything" by 5? I some how don't believe this to be true!

What about chemicals, yeast, sugar etc?

A little bit of an explanation wouldn't go a miss!

I would say yes times 5, except for the yeast. 1pack is plenty for 5 gallons

Agree with Thig. Everything times 5, except for the yeast.

(I don't know if you add fining agents to your 1-gallon batches. If you do, you might be adding enough for 5 gallons, and you might be able to not change this addition, either.)
