I went in to buy an air lock and came out with one of these kits that they were clearing out. Anybody try this one? I haven't done a Legacy kit before.

The Italian Amarone kit that I'm doing comes with 900g of corn sugar. The instructions state that you can substitute granulated table sugar instead. What effect would this have on the wine?

I got a call today to say that the first of the LE kits had arrived at my local dealer's. I ordered the South African Shiraz. :b

I just bottled this one. I'm impressed. For a 10 litre kit (plus 2 litres of grape skins) it turned out very nice. I look forward to drinking this one in about six months.

I managed to break my hydrometer yesterday. Today I went in to my local BoP and picked up a new one. What a difference! the new one is WAY easier to read. I suggest that if any newbies are having trouble reading their hydrometer, it might not be you, look around for a new one.
