    Hi, I started my first wine the other day but am having problems keeping the temperature up. I have a heating pad and a belt. The pad is under a towel below the fermenter.     Hi, I was wondering how do I go about stirring the primary when it has a 35 lb. Mesh bag of apples? Do I pull them out, stir and replace or just swirl the bag? Stir the outside making the bag spin? Thanks, Jay

    Increasing a recipe

    Hi all, I'm following a recipe for crab apple wine and it's for a 1 gallon batch. I'm wanting to do a 5 gallon. I'm assuming I increase everything by 5. So the 6lb of fruit for 1 gallon would be 30lbs for 5 gallons. Is that correct? What about the additives? Pectic enzyme campden tablets etc...
