    just curious... I have the Cru Select Red Ice Wine currently in the primary and Sg at this time is 1.062. Beginning Sg was 1.151.     lucked out on the countertop.. First bid for granite top came in at $3,500. Did a search and found a slab granite supplier... higher quality granite imported from Brazil (guess america doesnt have granite)... got it for $1,200.00 installed.. And the picture. Maroon Bells near Aspen.

    I am blessed with the opportunity to be her "Day Care" PaPa. She enjoys helping with the hobby.. especially putting the corks in the floor corker and attempting to pull the handle down. Only step she doesnt like is to check the fermenting bucket... holds her nose during that step. Great day...

    Thanks for the input. Wine Expert Selection kit instructions require the lees to be stirred in Step 3... got to say i am curious as to why. Was not sure if it would be of any benefit to do that with the blueberry. Did not do anything with it yesterday... still fermenting a bit., will no doubt...

    recipe I was using called for 1/2 pt of concentrate per gallon.... thinking maybe i will cut that in half. Before bottling would like to have it a medium sweet wine... will check the SG at that point.

    Yeah, the contraption really works nice... i was mixing up some k-meta with a spoon and catching the fumes and remembered the salad dressing mixer my wife received as birthday gift... that she never used so tried it and no more dealing with the fumes. Used it this morning to mix up a little...

    An unused Pampered Chef salad mixer works great for mixing the additives.. especially K-meta, has the ounze and mL scale. The white thingy it is sitting on was salvaged from an old printer/scanner - works great for eyeing the change in color when doing acid test. Flash still not working on camera
