Has to be a better way

I soak mine in a cooler with oxyclean for about 6 hours. I then use a scraper that has a razor blade in it. The tougher ones get soaked a little longer and that usually does the trick. I have noticed that the more expensive the wine the harder it is to get the label off.

    Supply of bottles

I'm fairly new to this hobby and the problem has been getting enough bottles without having to buy them. I work for a city and this week I realized we have a recycling facility.:slp Talked to the guy in charge of it and he told me they get tons of wine bottles. Problem solved.

    Tired of the rain

We will take some of that water Grapeman. We are over 7" behind on rainfall for the year. Where I live we are on mandatory water restrictions and all the counties in Texas are under a burn ban. Crazy weather.

    Bottled first wines

I didn't save the slurry but I think I saw on here where some have made a starter for the SP. SP was something I was considering since it sounds like it is a quick drinker. I need to do some more searching on the process for a starter. CC

    Bottled first wines

Just bottled my first wines yesterday. I did 1 gal of Apfelwin and 3 gal of Peach Mango and both taste pretty good. Hoping they improve with a little aging. Purchased a floor corker and glad I did. It was a very easy process, nothing like I expected. Now I can't decide what to do next. Glad I...

    Wild Muscadine

Are wild muscadine grapes good for wine? I have access to them and would like to try it. How many lbs per gallon would I need? Don't have a press so what would be the best way to extract the juice? CC
