5 gallon batch...

lol.. how low can the SG possibly go?

8 days ago I started my first big batch of wine. Doing a welches concetrate batch. starting SG was 1.09 Fermentation was ultra fast and was down to 1.15 in 3 days. I then racked to secondary. Fermentation is still going strong... but the sg is at 0.98.... what do I need to do here...

i think i will just let it sit in the bottom of the carboy until clear.. then rack... dont want to buy a filter system... lol

is a special filter needed or can i just use a coffee filter?

so when racking is it recommended to filter to?

so whats the best way to stop fermentation?

so does stabilizing kill the yeast and stop the fermentation process ?

1.) Let it go dry does this mean to let the wine ferment until the yeast dies? 2.) Stabilize I dont understand this either... thats all for now :)

I dont understand why I would need to top it off if i started with 1 gallon. Does a lot evaporate or something during the initial fermentation? With the hyrdrometer, when do I check it? I am not clear about this.
