Hi Everyone

Haven't been on for a long time cause I haven't been making any wine. Started cranberry/grape June 14th, the pacific gravity was 1.100 and temp was 69. On the 15th the temp was 73 and today it is 77. I was wondering how high the tempcan go before I need to cool it.

One more question, I know how to check the alcohol from top pacific gravity to bottom pacific gravity, but this batch I want to up the alcohol 13 or 14%. How far should I let the pacifity gravity drop before adding more sugar water and how do you figure the alcohol when you add sugar the second time.

Sure smells awesome - don't want to mess this one up!

You can add the sugar at any time before fermentation stops. There is a
wine calculator at geocities.com which is a great resource. It calcs.
how much sugar to add amongst other things. Just go to that site then
type in wine calculator and download the zip file, or you can just post
what your starting specific gravity was and which yeast you yeast you
used and we'll do it for you.
